What is a code card and where do I get it?
A code card is a small plastic card that comes with your WILKA lock cylinder when you buy it. It has a unique code that defines the key profile and cuts.
Key facts about the code card:
- Issued by the manufacturer with the lock cylinder.
- Confirms your right to make a copy of the key.
- Protects against unauthorized copying.
- Allows key making without sending the original key.
Where to get the code card?
- If you bought a new lock cylinder, the code card should be included.
- If the cylinder was installed by a developer, building management, or previous owner, they may have given you the card with the keys.
- Without the code card, it’s not possible to legally make a WILKA key, as these systems are protected.
